THE case of a Barrow man accused of being part of a Class A drug-dealing ring has been sent to the crown court.

David William Hunt appeared before Furness and District Magistrate’s Court via videolink from HMP Preston this morning. The 39-year-old, of Thames Road, Walney, is accused of two charges dated from November 30 to May 3, one of conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and one of conspiracy to supply heroin.

Hunt, represented in court by Maureen Fawcett, will next appear at Preston Crown Court on June 2 alongside six co-accused. He was remanded in custody.
