A BARROW man who was drunk and being threatening in the street has been fined.
Thomas Yanis Spencer, 29, appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday and pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in public on August 8.
The court heard Spencer was unsteady of his feet on Brathay Crescent and he was being threatening to residents in the street who had come out to check what was happening at around 10pm. Spencer, of Brathay Crescent, was then abusive to police.
The magistrates heard Spencer had been struggling to cope with some medical issues involving his family and he turned to drink. He apologised for the way he acted. He was fined £150 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
