A man accused of brandishing a samurai sword in a town centre street is expected to appear on trial.
Ross Owen Johnson, of Argyle Street, Barrow appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on February 16 where he denied carrying the weapon in Dalton Road on January 18.
Johnson, 21, pleaded not guilty and elected to have his case heard by a jury, when he appeared at the Barrow court.
Magistrates referred his case and Johnson is expected to appear at Preston Crown Court on March 16 at 10am.
