A MAN has been jailed for carrying a lock knife and amphetamines.
David Cottier, of Abbotsmead Approach, Barrow, appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court in the town on July 19 where he pleaded guilty to carrying an offensive weapon in public without lawful authority, and possessing the class B drug.
The 40-year-old also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody having been released on bail.
Cottier will serve a total of 67 days in prison. He was given a six-month conditional discharge for the bail offence and was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
