A THUG has been locked up for 18 weeks and given an indefinite restraining order after pleading guilty to assaulting a woman and causing criminal damage to her hair straighteners and iPhone.
Daniel James Treen, of Tay Court in Barrow, was sentenced at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday to 18 weeks in jail.
The 26-year-old had admitted assaulting Sara Arnold on Saturday and damaging her iPhone 6S and a pair of Cloud 9 hair straighteners.
