A 23-year-old has admitted sending racially aggravated texts and WhatsApp messages.
Callum Humphreys, of Egerton Court, Barrow Island, appeared before Furness Magistrates' Court on Thursday. (11)
He pleaded guilty to the offence which took place between August 18 and October 20 and amounted to the harassment of Carlos Alexander Lopes Dias Pereira.
He also admitted that on January 30 he entered a flat in Egerton Court and stole electrical items of a value unknown.
Sentencing was adjourned to allow reports to be prepared.
He was given conditional bail and must not to contact directly or indirectly Mr Pereira, Stacey Conaghan, Kirsten Fletcher or Michael Knight.
The case was adjourned until February 16 when he will learn his fate.
