A MAN accused of assault was expected to appear in court today.
Gavin John Jones, 49, of Longlands Avenue Barrow, denies two charges of assault by beating and is due to stand trial.
The alleged offences are said to have taken place on Monday February 20.
Jones pleaded not guilty on May 4 and the case was adjourned on June 28 for trial.
