A BARROW man has denied causing unnecessary suffering to a cat by a failure to act.
Sam Simmonite appeared at Furness and District Magistrates Court today and pleaded not guilty to a charge of failing to adequately control a lurcher-type dog which attacked and injured a cat called O’Malley, at Steamer Street, Barrow Island on or about December 6.
A trial is set to take place at Furness Magistrates' Court on May 8.
The 40-year-old, of Egerton Court, Barrow was granted unconditional bailed.
