A MOTORIST from Barrow will this week find out if he is being banned from driving after he was caught doing 67mph in a 40mph zone.
David Paul Evans, of Chatsworth Street in Barrow, pleaded guilty to driving with excess speed when he appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court on April 13.
The court heard the 52-year-old had been snapped by a speed camera on the A591 at Ings in the early hours of the morning on September 30 of last year.
The camera clocked Evans driving a Mazda at 67mph at 4.23am. The speed limit for the section of the road is 40mph.
Magistrates adjourned the sentencing until Thursday to allow them to consider disqualifying Evans from driving.
