A BARROW man has been arrested by French police during the Euro 2016 tournament.
The man, aged 23 or 24, was arrested in Lille on Wednesday night, the night before England beat Wales beat 2-1.
The Evening Mail understands the man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and has since returned home to England.
Although police in England and Wales have no jurisdiction abroad, officers can seek football banning orders if an individual is convicted of a relevant offence in another country.
