THE case of a Barrow man charged with murder has been adjourned for a second time.

Damien Hill, 44, is accused of killing Guy Hamilton, from Barrow. Mr Hamilton, 35, was found close to his home in Meetings View, Ormsgill on April 30 of this year. He was taken to Furness General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Hill, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with murder. He previously appeared before Preston Crown Court on August 10.

The defendant did not appear before Preston Crown Court this morning and was instead represented by Mr Richard Vardon.

After discussions with Mr Vardon, prosecution barrister Mr Francis McEntee and judge Mark Brown, the court agreed to grant an adjournment.

Hill will next appear at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday September 28.

A number of members of Mr Hamilton's family and his friends were in court for today's hearing.
