A 30-YEAR-OLD man accused of owning more than 900 indecent photographs of children over a one-and-a-half year period has appeared in court.

Daniel James Jaggers, of Thurlow Way, Barrow, made no indication of plea as he appeared before Furness Magistrates' Court on Tuesday charged with making and possessing 930 indecent photographs of children in categories A to C, with A being the most serious.

The offences are alleged to have happened between January 1, 2015, and June 21, 2016.

He was granted bail on the condition that he avoids contact with anyone under the age of 16 and will next appear before Preston Crown Court on February 17.
