A BARROW man is set to go on trial accused of handling stolen goods from Centrica Energy's gas terminals.

Paul Clarke, 28, is accused of handling stolen goods and fraudulently trying to sell four gas monitors which are alleged to have been stolen from the gas terminals in Rampside Road.

Clarke, of Vulcan Road, has denied the charges, relating to four gas monitors worth £1,150 in 2014 which were taken by Peter Clarke, 36, of Rochester Place, Barrow. It is alleged the monitors were sold on to a pawn shop in Barrow.

Clarke will go on trial tomorrow at Furness Magistrates' Court.
