A MAN accused of brandishing a hammer in a public street is due to appear in crown court.
Brian Terry Hackett, 38, of Parade Street, Barrow, appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Barrow yesterday to face one charge of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
The alleged incident is said to have taken place in Parade Street, Barrow, on July 31.
Hackett is due to appear at Preston Crown Court on November 10.
