A MAN from Barrow has appeared in court accused of assaulting his mum and asking her for money.
Robert Benjamin Carroll, of Egerton Court, Barrow Island, appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday via video link from Preston Prison after he was remanded in custody following a previous court appearance.
The 29-year-old has previously pleaded not guilty to assaulting his mum Lynne Morgan and visiting her at her home in Andover Street and asking her for money, which he is prevented from doing by a restraining order.
Both offences are alleged to have happened on December 21.
Carroll will next appear at Preston Crown Court on January 27.
