BARROW library is tackling half-term boredom by putting on a number of free fun activities for children next week.
On Saturday October 22, Barrow Library will give youngsters aged seven to 17 the chance to crack coding from 1.30pm to 3pm.
This will be followed by an hour of singing, stories and playtime for tiny tots in a "Rucksack of Rhymes" event hosted by the Wordsworth Trust on Monday October 24 from 10:30am.
A craft workshop giving children the chance to make delicate fairy wings inspired by Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream will also be held by Cat Jessop on Wednesday October 26 from 10am.
Youngsters can also get their thinking caps on by writing a poem in recognition of National Poetry Day, with the chance to bag a £50 book voucher.
