A petrol station in Barrow has now re-opened after a petrol leak from a vehicle caused a two-hour closure.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service were called out to Shell Garage, in Abbey Road, at around 10:50am this morning (May 29).
One fire engine from Grange attended the scene, where a vehicle had begun to spew petrol on to the forecourt, possibly caused by a fault to the car's petrol tank.

Fire crews used a receptacle placed under the car to contain the leak before using fire hoses and a solution from the garage to wash the forecourt down.
The vehicle was then moved to a safe location at the garage as a recovery team was en route to collect it. The re-opening was announced by Barrow Fire and Rescue on their twitter feed earlier.
