A TWO-YEAR-OLD had to be cut free by fire fighters after she managed to get her training toilet seat stuck over her head.

Kara Barlow from Barrow was taken to the local fire station at around 4.30pm on Monday where she was cut free by firefighters.

The toddler was being looked after by her dad Dwayne, who was busy with Kara's one-year-old brother when the incident occurred.


Little Kara at the fire station He said: "I was in the front room with my little lad. She went to toilet by herself and when she came back she had the training toilet seat on her head.

"I tried to lift it off her but it was just not having it."

Mr Barlow then had to resort to ringing Kara's mother who came out of work and together they went to the fire station to seek further assistance.

The fire fighters at Barrow certainly saw the funny side of the situation.

Mr Barlow said: "A couple of them said it was a pretty necklace. It was just a bit of a giggle and so stupid."

Firefighter Ben Jones who freed the toddler said: "We put goggles on her and managed to snip it and just cut her free. it was pretty firmly on there."

Mr Barlow added: "I think she finds it funny. She keeps telling people about how she had to go to the fire station and laughing about it."
