A BARROW dad has said his four-year-old daughter has refused to go back to the town's park after she was almost attacked by aggressive seagulls.

Phil Jackson posted a video of the angry birds in Barrow Park after he visited the attraction with his four-year-old daughter on Saturday.
Mr Jackson said his daughter now refuses to go to the park after the incident.

He said: "The park is there for children but she won't even go in there now. They're becoming more and more aggressive, they literally took some bread out of her hand."

Mr Jackson believes drastic action needs to be taken to tackle the problem, which he believes is blighting the whole of Barrow.

"Barrow has a massive issue with seagulls," he said.

"The council don't seem to want to do anything about it. You can apply for a licence to have a cull, the shipyard has done. The town's back streets are dreadful, it's getting out of hand."
