A PLAYGROUND installation which was demolished amid health and safety fears is set to be replaced, council bosses have said.
The pirate ship at the playground by the Dock Museum in Barrow was dismantled last week because of repeated repairs and reports of anti-social behaviour.
Part of the structure was rotten and Barrow Borough Council said it was not economically viable to keep repairing it.
The pirate ship has been removed but council bosses have insisted the plan is to replace it once finance is approved.
