A BUSINESSMAN involved in venues in Barrow and Dalton is due to appear in court accused of a string of hygiene failings at a restaurant.
John Wormall and Gemma Rowlands been charged with nine food and hygiene offences relating to the Castle Inn restaurant at Hornby just outside of Lancaster, which they are operators of.
Wormall, 47, of Greystone Lane in Dalton, is known for his involvement with the former Paulo Giannis in Cavendish Street and The Townhouse in Dalton Road, Barrow.
The hygiene offences, believed to have taken place on or about November 18 of 2015, include allegations of failing to protect food against contamination that would be unfit for human consumption, failing to maintain food hygiene and failing to notify an appropriate authority of the opening of a new food business.
Rowlands and Wormall are due appear at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
