A SEX offender from Barrow who threatened to stab a man as he burgled his home is set to be sentenced.

Curtis Lee Baron, of Oxen Croft in Barrow, will appear at Preston Crown Court tomorrow for sentencing.

The 20-year-old has previously pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman, burglary and using a motor vehicle without insurance or a licence.

On November 3 of last year, Baron rode up to a woman walking along Cambridge Street on his red moped.

He then sexually assaulted her by kissing her on the neck and touching his groin at the same time.

Then on December 21 of last year, Baron broke into a house in Barrow as the occupants were watching TV downstairs.

The homeowners heard the front door open and the male occupant discovered Baron upstairs holding a bag of items which he had stolen from the house.

The pair scuffled and Baron threatened to stab the man, who then let him leave the house.

Baron will be sentenced for all four offences tomorrow.
