A MAN who was flown to hospital by air ambulance is in a stable condition.

Police were called just after 6.30 yesterday evening to reports of a three-vehicle smash on the junction of Willow Road and Schneider Road.

A male was flown to Royal Preston Hospital after sustaining injuries from the accident, but it has been confirmed that the patient is stable but has a broken leg.

The patient's motorcycle was badly damaged, in addition to a silver Ford Fiesta Finesse which has been damaged on the driver's side.

A bystander that did not want to be named said: "Cars come flying down here all the time. Taxis on a Saturday come flying down too."
