A MAN from Askam has been arrested after an alleged hit-and-run incident outside a primary school in Barrow town centre.

Police were called to the corner outside St George's School in Barrow on the bend of Salthouse Road on July 24 after a black car was seen to crash into a set of railings. A public appeal was launched in a bid to find witnesses after the car was alleged to have left the scene.
