DOGWALKERS who became involved in a war of words are under investigation by police following an early morning incident.

It is believed that on Saturday June 3 in the Ormsgill Quarry area of Barrow, two members of the public were walking their dogs around mid to late morning.

A verbal altercation is then understood to have taken place.
