POLICE are investigating a road traffic collision on the A590 after a car was in collision with woman walking dogs in South Cumbria.

At about 5pm on Tuesday January 17, a vehicle collided with a pedestrian on the A590 east bound carriageway at Newby Bridge, near to the junction with the bridge over the river Leven, towards the Swan Hotel.

A 62-year-old female, from the Wigan area, who was walking two dogs, declined any treatment at the scene.

The vehicle was a black Ford Fiesta, driven by 60-year-old male from the Haverthwaite area of Ulverston.
