Vote

Is a 1.9% increase in Barrow Borough Council tax acceptable?

Yes (32%)
No (68%)

Total Vote Count 146

Have your say

No it’s not acceptable in my opinion. Whilst the vast majority of councils in the country including Cumbria County Council! Have yet another council tax freeze Barrow impose the 1.9% rise (just under the 2% rise that would require us to vote on the rise may I add) this happened last year also. So while Barrow Borough Council makes yet another rise to us the Tax payers have services that are still being cut,
No doubt the extra money will be being put to good causes such as Bosses bonuses, Pay rises and pensions?
