Have your say

People have lifestyle choices. Those that smoke ,play bingo ,drink alcohol, gamble and generally spend all their money during working life without thinking of supporting themselves in future pay the penalty when old. Those who enjoy life but are thrifty and pay all the same taxes should not have money cut just to support the feckless ones who think the state ie the rest of us should support them.Keep it a universal benefit or get rid of it for all.

surely a better question would be "should they be cut for pensioners who pay the higher rate of tax" as has happened for child benefit. but as usual the evening mail has jumped on a story from the national press and put no original thought into the question.
