Cluster awards celebrate innovation and excellence

BRITAIN’S Energy Coast Business Cluster announced the winners of its Business Awards 2012 in November.

The auditorium at Energus was packed with over 200 VIP guests and representatives of Cumbrian businesses, from major players such as the co-sponsors, NuGen and EnergySolutions, to less familiar names, including Safety Critical, NuExec Consulting and The Learning Planet.

“The awards attracted a diverse entry from across the BECBC membership,” said BECBC chairman, Sean Balmer. “We had categories celebrating innovation, excellence in health and safety and sustainabilty as well as commitment to West Cumbria, people and skills development and entrepreneurship so the awards are a recognition of the different contributions that successful businesses make to the area.”
