THE Lake District Farmers have kindly donated £1,000 towards the Focus on Furness project in their February giveaway.
The Lake District Farmers Armstrong Charitable Trust awards £1,000 every month to a good cause in the area - an initiative that was set up in the memory of late Lake District Farmers boss Ray Armstrong.
The money was raised at an annual celebrity chef event held in Dalton, hosted and sponsored by Clarence House Country Hotel and Restaurant.

The cash is a boost towards reaching the £45,000 target and adds to the £6,000 Brathay has so far already raised.
