THIS weekend once again is packed with activities for all. The Mail has created a list of 10of the best things so you don't have to miss out.

Here are just some of the events that might take your fancy:

1 Ulverston Beer Festival 2018

Today (Thursday) (2pm to 11pm) Friday August 31(12pm to 11pm) and Saturday September 1 (12pm to 7pm).

The 2018 Ulverston Beer Festival takes place at the Coronation Hall, in Ulverston.

It is sure to be a busy event with a host of beers and ciders to sample.

2 Lowick Show

Saturday September 1 from 8am.

A rural feast of livestock, equine classes, horticulture and home produce at the show know as ‘L’al Royal’ show, located at Lowick Bridge.

3 Dalton Dragons Mini Rugby - Back to School Fun Day

Sunday September 2 from 10.30am.

The mini festival runs from 11am to 12pm, at 12.30pm is Dalton under 10s v Askam under 10s, from 1.30pm Dalton under 12s v Askam Under12s.

4 Medieval Fair at Furness Abbey, Barrow

Saturday September 1, 10am to 5pm. The biggest event of the year at Furness Abbey, the fair lets visitors discover what life was like for the inhabitants of Furness around the time it was first built – in the 12th century.

5 Fudstock - Saturday September 1

The music festival at Cavendish Park, on Barrow Island, will remember the life and legacy of Richard Thorne, aka, ‘Fud’.

Local favourites are to perform from 12pm in aid of St Mary’s Hospice.

6 Grasmere Guzzler - Friday August 31 to Sunday September 2.

With some 25 live acts and around 100 ales and ciders on offer. The busiest day, as ever, is Saturday, with 10 acts appearing – one every hour, on the hour from 2pm. The event will be held at Tweedies Bar and Lodge.

7 Barrow AFC vs Solihull

Kick off 3pm Saturday September 1

Holker Street

Barrow AFC are looking to maintain their unbeaten home record.

8 Duddon Canoe Club Fun Day

Saturday September 1

From 10am to 4pm

Cavendish Dock Road, Barrow

The club is inviting visitors to try our new fleet of of canoes.

9 Furness Artists Summer Exhibition

Starts Saturday September 1

Home Images, Ramsden Gallery, Duke Street, Barrow

All new original works by local artist. Free admission.

10 South Lakes Bike Fest

Friday August 31 to Sunday September 2 South Lakes Bike Fest at Staveley.

Supported by Wheelbase Cycles, this is a weekend of celebrating everything great about riding in the mountains. There will be bike-packing, gravel, XC, all-mountain and family rides going out over the weekend as well as demo bikes to try and MTB skills coaching sessions running.
