On the right track

IN your article about the Furness Railway Trust’s hopes to create a railway museum and workshop in the Haverthwaite area (Evening Mail, September 1) it was incorrectly stated that the Trust runs the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway.

The L&HR is – and has always been – operated very ably by the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway Co Ltd.

The FRT is based at the L&HR but it is the Company’s railway.

It is the FRT, not the L&HR Company, which is investigating the idea of a museum.
