Youth club fund-raiser ball

By Jo DaviesA YOUTH club which brings able and disabled youngsters together is holding a fund-raising ball next week.
The charity Leonard Cheshire Disability, which runs a youth club at the MS Centre in Schneider Road, Barrow, is looking to incorporate a study room.
The Adventures Fun Club offers a range of activities for young people, including arts and crafts, life skills, environmental work, indoor and outdoor games and residential stays.
The charity is raising cash to buy computer equipment and to rent a study room at the centre.
A fund-raising summer ball will be held at The Kill One Club in Duke Street, on Thursday, July 10, from 7pm. There will be a disco, buffet and auction.
Tickets start at £6.50, with discounts for family bookings.
The charity would appreciate the support of local businesses who would be willing to donate items to be auctioned.
Young people interested in attending Adventures Fun Club can drop in on a Wednesday or Thursday from 7pm until 9.30pm.Volunteers are always welcome.
