FURNESS Young Professionals will host the second in their Inspirational Young Adventurers evenings in June.
Mr Humphreys has penned several books about his adventures, including Mood of Future Joys, which documents his epic round-the-world bike journey.
The presentation will take place at the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel, Duke Street, Barrow on June 6 and has been organised by Furness Young Professionals officials.
Furness Young Professionals is a group of like-minded young graduates who make the most of living in the area. Developed partly by Ulverston entrepreneur Sally Broom, Furness Young Professionals organises business and social events each month in a bid to allow its members to enjoy the best of what the region has to offer and developing new skills.
In April, Tori James, the first British woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest, gave a presentation at the Duke of Edinburgh, with a vivid account of her gruelling training regime to make the climb, and her determination to reach the summit.
Miss James’ presentation was the first in the series of “Inspirational Young Adventurers” talks.
The evening, which includes a dinner, starts from 7pm and is free for members of Furness Young Professionals and £30 for non-members.
