Barrow woman attacked by intruders in her own home

POLICE in Barrow have appealed for information after burglars attacked a woman in her own home.

The incident occurred at a house in Middlefield just after 8pm on Monday night.

The victim was assaulted and her purse was taken.

The woman did not suffer any serious injuries and police have arrested two women in their mid-to-late 30s.

They have since been bailed pending further investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
