Barrow van attack costs £75

A BARROW man was fined after smashing a van belonging to his sister’s partner.

Gary Wade had pleaded guilty to the offence on January 16.

The 31-year-old, of Mill Bank, Barrow, told Furness Magistrates’ Court he was passing his sister’s house in Barrow when he heard an argument between her and her partner.

He went in and confronted his sister’s partner, Leyton Young.

Wade then walked on to the street and punched through the two side windows of his transit van, causing £100 of damage.

Wade had already paid compensation.

He was fined £75 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
