Barrow retail park owners welcome new store

THE owners of a Barrow retail park have welcomed news that a new tenant is set to move in.

PLAN The former Comet store, in Hollywood Park, Barrow, is going to be home to a TK Maxx outlet ASHTON BOWRON REF: 50063754B000

TK Maxx last week revealed its plans to open a store at Hollywood Park in Barrow. The store is set to open later this year and create up to 35 jobs.

Nigel Chapman, fund manager at Standard Life Investments, which owns Hollywood Park, said: “There’s been a lot of buzz from the local community in Barrow about who would take the former Comet unit, so we’re really pleased that TK Maxx will be opening at the retail park.

“TK Maxx will be a great addition to the current mix of retail and leisure operators which include Dunelm, Currys, Vue and McDonald’s, providing locals and visitors with even more choice when shopping in Barrow.”
