Barrow police confirm body found on Walney was that of a missing BAE Systems shipyard worker

Barrow police have confirmed that the body found in water on Walney was that of a missing 24-year-old BAE worker.
Lewis Antoniou from Goldsmith Street, Barrow, went missing on Saturday, September 28.
An extensive search was carried out in the area, with police, coastguard and joined by friends and family trying to find him.
Tragically, a body was found in the water last Friday near Avon Street.
This has been formally identified as being that of Mr Antoniou.
His family are being supported by police at this time.
The coroner has been informed.
