Barrow police appealing for witnesses after pensioner taken to hospital after road accident

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a Barrow pensioner was taken to hospital with leg and head injuries after a collision with a car.

A 38-year-old man is helping police with their inquiries.

The incident happened at about 6pm on Saturday at the junction of Schneider Road and Laburnum Crescent, Barrow.

A 65-year-old Barrow woman was take to Furness General Hospital.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw the silver Renault Clio prior to the accident on Ainlsie Street or witnessed the collision to get in touch.
