Barrow man denies stealing items

A BARROW man appeared in court charged with stealing expensive electrical goods.

Liam Richard Watts, 21, appeared before Furness Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Watts of Healeys, in Hindpool Road, Barrow, denied burgling a house in Smeaton Street on February 16, and stealing items including a PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and an iPad.

He will appear at Preston Crown Court on July 4. The court heard an alleged assault on Josh Westwood, which was not put to Watts, would also be part of the charges.
