Barrow man charged with burglary to appear in court

POLICE have charged a Barrow man with burglary after he was arrested over the weekend.

David Cottier, of Egerton Court, has been charged with burgling a house in Wordsworth Street during the early hours of Friday.

The 46-year-old was due to appear at Furness Magistrates Court today.

Police have urged residents to take precautions to prevent them becoming a victim of such crimes.

Inspector Ian McClymont said: “The number of burglaries of peoples’ homes continues to fall in the Barrow area. This type of offence continues to be a priority of ours.”
