Barrow man admitted fraud

A SHOP assistant has been ordered to carry out 150 hours community service after falsely processing refunds.

Nicholas John Hebson, of School Street, Barrow, pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud at South Lakeland Magistrates Court, on Wednesday.

The court heard Hebson had processed a refund for £49 in the Kendal Peacocks store on July 2 last year and a further £54 on July 7.

He was ordered to carry out 150 hours community service and was ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge £85 costs.
