Barrow dad killed in Cumbria crash named

A WELL-KNOWN Barrow dad died after a collision between a lorry and the car he was driving on the A595 in Cumbria.
Andrew ‘Bomb’ Taylor, aged 47, from Parkhouse Court, Barrow, died following a road traffic collision on Thursday March 6.
Police were called to reports of a car and a lorry being involved in a collision on the A595 at Foxfield, near Broughton, at 1.30pm.
Despite the efforts of the paramedics, Mr Taylor, the driver of a Peugeot 307, died at the scene.
It is believed Mr Taylor was a father of twins.
He worked as a nuclear industry consultant and was a popular and well regarded man in Barrow.
The lorry driver, aged 38, from Otterburn, was not injured.
The road was closed from High Cross to Wreaks Level until 5:15pm while collision investigation officers carried out inquiries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact with PC Chris Smith from the Operational Support Unit at Cumbria Constabulary on 101.
