Barrow accused faces trials after denying charges

A BARROW man appeared in court accused of several offences.

Anthony James Rodgers, 26, of Shakespeare Street, was at Furness Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

He denied a series of charges, including wounding Ben Adams with intent, assaulting Emma Poynter, being in possession of a cannabis farm, failing to stop his car for police and driving without due care. Rodgers is due to appear at Preston Crown Court for trial on February 21 for the wounding charge. He is due to appear at Preston Crown Court to face trial for the alleged driving and drugs offences on April 25.

Rodgers is due to return to Furness Magistrates' Court on March 21 to face trial over the assault charge.
