Attempted theft at Barrow scrapyard

AN offender entered a Barrow scrapyard, removed batteries from several cars and left them behind.

The incident happened at Fainty’s Auto Dismantlers in Cavendish Dock Road between 6.15pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday.

Police say a wire fence was cut and several car batteries were removed from vehicles and left outside where entry was gained.

Police are investigating the incident of attempted theft and are asking for witnesses to contact them on 101.

Alternatively, witnesses can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
