A man entered the Boots store in Market Street at 10am on Saturday August 9 and removed items from a display, before being approached by another customer and putting them back.

The man is described as white, of heavy build, and wearing a large jacket, a baseball cap and a dark T-shirt.

Police want to speak to any witnesses to the incident, especially the man who approached him.

Residents with information are asked to contact PC David Thompson of Cumbria Police on 101, quoting log reference number 98 of August 11.
