Wendy houses are a fantastic addition to any garden. For such a small space, so much can be created from it – their versatility means you can transform the space into almost anything you desire. The Tea Room

What could be better than reading the Sunday papers with a steaming mug of tea, sat comfortably in a gorgeous tea room at the bottom of your garden? It’s the ultimate retreat to escape to, and is easily created. Think bunting, wrought iron table and chairs, over sized tea pots, a multitude of cushions, white wash walls and you’re almost there. The Play Room

A Wendy house is the perfect den for your children. Why not make a half-term of it and get your kids to help decorate? Keep the decor as mix-match and kitsch as possible, using warm, bright colours. It doesn’t have to cost the earth to decorate either – many fixtures can be made on the cheap, for example why not try knocking together driftwood for stools, tables and shelves (don’t forget to paint these for full effect). Fitting a small day bed might be easier than trying to fit a full-sized sofa into the den, and beanbags are of course a necessity for all the story-time to be had.

It’s a great space for the kids to get as creative as they like in a place where you don’t have to worry too much about the mess. Instead of bunting why not use string and pegs to hang your children’s paintings up?
