A young woman had to be rescued from Cumbria's highest mountain after slipping and falling on snow.
The woman, in her 20s, was climbing Scafell Pike yesterday when she fell.
The emergency services were called about 4pm.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team attended the scene and the Great North Air Ambulance crew was also needed.
It turned out the woman had hurt her leg.
An air ambulance spokesman said: "After a careful extrication from the mountain, the patient was flown to hospital in Carlisle."
Her injuries are not life threatening and the journey to the Cumberland Infirmary took just 15 minutes.
Her condition on arrival was stable.
