A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital with back and facial injuries after falling from a horse in Cumbria.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to Great Strickland, near Penrith, at around 10am on Sunday, after reports of a person falling from a horse.
The GNAAS doctor-led trauma team assessed and treated the 44-year-old before she was flown to Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary within 13 minutes.
