It’s day one of beer week and we have a fantastic offer from Carlisle Brewing Company to start things off.

A small, family run micro-brewery, Carlisle Brewing Company is based at The Spinners Arms in Cummersdale.
Owners Alison and Alain Davis took over the pub in 2007, and soon decided to use their knowledge of ale tp expand into brewing.
Alison said: “When we set up the brewery in 2013 it was a diversification of the pub. But everything clicked into place and we realised there hadn’t been a brewery in Carlisle for over 25 years.”
Ever since, Carlisle Brewing Company has gone from strength to strength, opening a bigger plant in October 2015, and seeing its beers represent the city, with a range now on sale at Carlisle’s tourist information centre.
Among the ales on offer from the brewers are the CAMRA award winning Spun Gold, The Carlisle Experiment pale ale, and Oatmeal Stout - a delicious dark beer.
